Tías & Olives is a Swiss swimwear label rooted in Switzerland and Spain. The designs are made in Switzerland and the production takes place in an ethical family owned factory in north of Portugal.
Carmen & Sibylle, the two souls behind the brand launched Tías & Olives in July 2022 and since then, their commitment is to make sustainable, endurable choices while minimising their environmental impact.
They're imperfect and they know it, but the most important think is that they strive to be the best versions of themselves. They accept that ideal has many characteristics, and so does imperfection.
"Choosing Tías & Olives means choosing better for your body, mind and our future. We aim to create an authentic, loud, strong, colorful but conscious brand and products designed to make you look darn good. And we want to see all magical tías wear it."

With awareness comes responsibility
Responsibility and transparency are fundamental at Tías & Olives. They aim to be as transparent as possible for their community. They are a small conscious brand with big ambitions.
From the fabric to the packaging, here are all the details:
Fabric & Production: They use the highest quality of recycled fabrics to ensure that each piece stays beautiful for years to come. They sew Italian fabric made of ECONYL®. This 100% regenerated nylon is made from nylon waste like fishing nets and industrial plastic. By reducing the pollution to our ocean, they use them to create swimwear. And they produce small batches in a family-owned factory in Portugal that employs women from the communinty.
Circularity: A topic close to Carmen's heart. They would like to re-use fabric leftovers that others have produced. In addition, they would like to deep dive into a system where you can return your old bikinis to be recycled afterwards by them in their factory.
Packaging: They use recycled materials for the different elements of the packaging from the box to the hygenic stickers and their little bags.
Social engagement and impact: One can always do more. Carmen & Sibylle, the tias behind the brand believe firmly that having a conscious brand is not enough, this is why they also developed a mission: to educate and empower girls around the globe. They begin fighting against period poverty by donating 4% of every bikini sold to Subz.
